It needs welding around the battery tray area, parts of the heater channels need attention and some tlc to the body work. The body overall is solid including the gutters. ….Okay, so where do i start. Lying covered in boxes and mildew is a 1970 beetle. This was my 2nd beetle project about 20 years ago and was once a running car (obviously). A restoration was started, with new front and rear valences, new heater channels, in fact, all the welding was done that was needed to restore the shell. The chassis was removed and stripped, shotblasted and painted in smoothrite. And then it came to live in my barn. All parts are with the car, a lot are NOS (4 wings, headlights, window rubbers, 1600 pistons) Everything that goes with the car is up on the top floor of the barn. There’s also a NOS front beam and i’m sure some disc brakes for the front (if my memory serves me right). The engine is a 1300 twinport which was working fine 20 years ago!!! If you want it and you win it, you’ll need to bring some strong men and a large trailer to cart it all away. You’ll also need a fair bit of time to remove all the items from upstairs. Could make a great project car as all the hard work (ie, dismantling) has been done. Apologies for the awful photo, it’s not as bad as it looks.

….I bought this off a mate of mine after it had been sitting on his drive for a while,it needed a little welding to the beam for the mot,I have just checked it over its mot this year and it has rotted around the frame head,the beam has gone again as well,I just dont have the time to sort it out again. Someone has spent a lot of time and money on it in the past as it has had new channels and pans,it would be a shame to see it get broken,the door bottoms have gone,it has a little rust on the gutters at the and probably more,best thing it to come take a look. It is all rolling with everything except the engine,THE GT WHEELS DO NOT GO WITH IT,but can be bought separately,they have brand new tyres,it will come on standard rims with bald tyres. 12 Months MOT, No Advisories, Free Tax

….I am selling my 1967 beetle after owning it for 14 months. I have always owned a beetle to tinker with and drive at weekends but unfortunately I have to sell this one now to fund repairs to my other car. It has had some work completed on it since i have had it. The car drives well and the engine pulls surprisingly well for a 1300, you will never have a queue of traffic stuck behind you as it easily keeps up. It has oversized tail pipes which gives it a deeper and louder growl than the standard pea shooters. It is very low and you do have to keep your eyes peeled for bumps and pot holes in the road, but that becomes second nature after a while. The body work is looking a bit tired (I am not selling an immaculate car) but it is still very presentable and gets the looks as you drive round. ….1964 LOVELY OLD BUG. I bought this sweetie 2 1/2 years ago – it was going to be a grand project, but time and money have meant that it has sat in a friends garage ever since.The upside is the rust hasn’t got any worse, but they now need their garage back and the bug has to go – hopefully to someone who can restore it to it’s former glory rather than scrap it for parts. SO much of it is solid and original. I don’t know a lot about it – it came with an old MOT certificate (2004) and the registration document. And a puddle in the front drivers footwell. That floorpan definitely has to be replaced! You can see in the photos it is totally rusty in front of the rear seat (couldn’t get a decent picture of the front but you can see the tarmac through it!). It looks like it was always loved – the white wall tyres (now tatty) and the custom bumpers suggest someone took good care of it in the past. It has, I assume, had a reconditioned engine fitted to it. The 2004 MOT mileage is given as 15102. I think it’s maybe a couple of hundred miles more on the clock now! Can’t really believe that is all the way from 1964. What else? The chrome trims have been removed (presumably to start restoration works) and a full set of top quality trims – still in it’s packaging – comes with the car. I think all the door openers and window wonders are present but many are not attached. Again I assume they were removed to start work on the car – all of this was before I got it. It does not go – it does roll however. So it will need to be towed away. After 2 years the tyres are flat so will need pumping up if it’s not going on a transporter of some kind. I’m afraid I can’t help at all with the delivery/collection of it – so please only bid if you are able to pick it up. Can’t tell you a lot more about it – do ask questions and I will do my best to answer them, but I’m no expert. I’ve put a reserve on it because Ebay can be a ‘luck-of-the-draw’ thing and one week something will sell well, another week not….I can’t just let this one go for pennies.

Very Solid Beetle that does 58mpg.

….VW Beetle 1975, Miami Blue 1.4 TDI, yes 1.4 TDi. Conversion professionally carried out by vw specialist Nigel Allen in Cornwall 3 years ago.Recently trip to the volksworld show in Surrey from Cornwall returned on 58mpg averaging 80mph.Car runs faultlessly with loads of torque, fitted with 3.8 diff so effortless cruising.It is in excellent condition, totally original fitted with Porsche fuch alloys, 4x Day moulding wings, Drop spindles on the front.The car is MOT and TAXED until the end of September. She always gets loads of attention at the shows and when I fill up with diesel!Car has always been maintained regardless of cost, I am the second owner having brought it from the owner that purchased it from new.I have no problems insuring the car, and will be very sad to see her go.Slots in front bonnet are for the small radiator as now water cooled.
