….Vw beetle 1303s 1600cc 1973 m reg named Betty beetleSemi-automatic so you only need a automatic license ! This car is a classic icon but it need a little restoration it will need new foor pans which come with the vehicle the heat channels need changing which will need to b purchased. The shell it self is pretty solid with only a few patches which I have started to sand rust proof and prime. The engine is in excellent running condition but fuel tank has been removed which I have. I have replaced with new, distributor cap, ht leads, spark plugs, pancake air filter, new oil and new zoom tube exhaust all done at the end of last year 2011. Unfortunatly the gear box wont go into gear but have been told by classicdub that it may need gear oil changing. I have stripped the inside out ready to do floor pans ect but ran out of time before the early evenings started, it has been kept dry stored in a garage with a cover on it (also include in sale) since I’ve owned it. If i was to sell as parts i would get over £700 as the engine is in fully working condition but i dont want to as betty could be put back on the road with a bit of welding and tidying so grab your self a bargain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I have the v5 document. ….Selling on behalf of my son whose name is on the registration documentsVW Beetle 1971 1600cc engine This is my much loved Beetle named Tulula that I am unfortunately not in the financial position to keep any more. Originally a 1300 she is now running a 1600 Twin port motor that has just had a full carb re-build and new Electronic dizzy and coil fitted so is running beautifully and not too bad on fuel (for a beetle), she also has a quick shift, the wheels all have good tyres are both VW 4.5j front and 6.5j rear non banded steel and she has a Narrow adjustable beam (set at its highest in picture) and is dropped 2 spines on the rear. Early style wings, US style and headlights and W deck fibreglass engine lid. Being a 71 model she is tax free and my insurance was just £100 for the year so she is very cheap to keep as just a toy or usable every day as the only time she has let me down was with a flat tyre. The body work is 100% solid but paint has a few marks and I know of no mechanical faults on her as I have looked after her very well as did the previous owners. There is a CD player fitted but it is a little temperamental and not beautifully wired in (was last on my list) She has MOT till the end of May and I have no worries about her next test. It would not take much to get this car to be a real show stopper I just don’t have the time or money to give this car what she needs. ….Due to a change in circumstances I am having to sell my stunning VW Beetle. Purple and cream. Very good condition. Some service history, and many receipts. Photos from when it was totally restored. Passed it’s mot in august, so still has over 7 months valid mot I have never had an issue with starting it, and drives very well. It has frequently done motorway travel, and came from just outside London to Cornwall in one journey when I moved without any problems, and seemed very good on petrol considering the distance it travelled. Recently had a new gear box fitted, and now when I reverse, the gear pops out and back into neutral, so needs to be held in place. Been advised this means the reverse cog has not been aligned correctly when the gear box was fitted, so should be easy to resolve. I rarely need to reverse, and even then never any great distance, so I haven’t rushed to do anything about it. The interior upholstery is in a good condition. The seats are cream with purple/ mauve piping on the edges. This really is an exceptional vehicle which I have held off from selling for a while because it is such a head turner! It would currently benefit from new front and rear bumpers, as they are a bit rusty, but that really isn’t any great expense. Very welcome to view before bidding. At the end of the auction, I would like a deposit paid by paypal, and the rest as cash on collection.

….1973 1303 S 1600cc (Tax exempt) original spec except colour (Ford peppermint green). Excellent condition throughout, new MOT. Very reliable since bought over 21 years ago. Has never let us down on holidays, trips and day to day. Some spares included. Must be sold to a new loving family as very reluctant sale.
